35. Forgiveness is a Double Edged Sword | Forgiving What You Can’t Forget Chapter 1

Do you know what a double edged sword is? It's a sword that has two sharp edges - literally. Figuratively when you someone refers to something being a double edged sword it refers to something that has both good and bad consequences and how you can't get one without the other. When you're using a double-edged sword, you have to be careful that you don't cut yourself when you're trying to swing it at an opponent. In her book forgiving what you can't forget Lysa Terkeurst refers to forgiveness being a double edged sword. Interesting thought, right? I agree and today we're going to explore this concept presented in the bible and then briefly explore what Lysa means when she refers to forgiveness as a double edged sword. Let's get into it!
